Tech veteran Vivo is allegedly set to launch its new V50 smartphone in February 2025. Although the company has not yet confirmed the release date, information about the pricing and specifications of the device has been leaked.

According to Tipster Abhishek Yadav on Social Platform X, Vivo V50 may have an initial price 37,999 in India. While the Yadav expresses some doubts about the leakage, he suggests that the price will remain within the sub- 40,000 sections. For reference, Vivo V40 was introduced 34,999, indicates potential price increase 3,000 for new models. However, it is necessary to note that Vivo has officially not confirmed any of these details, and consumers should carefully contact this information.

Regarding the specifications, the Vivo V50 appears to borrow heavily from Vivo V40.

The leak indicates that the smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 General 3 processor. The dual rear camera setup is expected to remain unchanged, with two 50MP sensors. The 50MP front camera is also likely to be involved for selfie, mirrors of its preceding camera configuration. Additionally, the design of the V50 is estimated to be the same as the V40 series.

However, Vivo V50 is expected to sports a large battery with better charging capabilities. The upcoming device of 6,000mAh battery, V40’s capacity of 5,500mAh can take one step. Charging speed can also see an upgrade, with support for 90W fast charging compared to the previous 80W. In addition, the V50 can come up with both IP68 and IP69 ratings, providing better protection against water waterfall, a feature that is usually reserved for premium smartphones.

There is no word on the Vivo V50 Pro model, suggesting that the company may only opt for focusing on the standard version.
