Karnataka Congress MLA harassed for a decline in invitation to Bif with Rashmika Mandanna

A Congress MLA and a Kannada worker has done her work against actress Rashmika Mandanna for reducing the invitation to reduce the invitation to participate in Bangalore International Film Festival (Biffes) 2025 and to call himself as someone from Hyderabad.

Mandya MLA Ravi Kumar Gowda, known as Ravi Ganiga, said that Mandanna hail from Kodagu district of Karnataka and should be taught a lesson to identify himself as someone from Hyderabad.

“Rashmika Mandanna started his career from Karnataka by debuting in the film Kannada Kirik PartyLast time, when she was invited for the film festival, she said she lives in Hyderabad, “Ganiga told reporters.

The MLA alleged that the actress had said that she did not know where Karnataka was and refused to attend the film festival here, stating that she did not have time.

“One of our MLAs went to his house and invited him several times but he spoke so badly about Kannada despite growing from Kannada land. Shouldn’t he be taught a lesson? “Ganiga asked.

Warning the Kannada Film Chamber of Commerce (KFFC), the MLA said that he would write to the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister and ask him to withdraw the subsidy given to the film industry.

The ruling Congress is upset with the film fraternity on poor turnout in Bif.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar warned the film fraternity on March 1, 2025, saying that he knew how to tighten the nuts and bolts and whom to contact. If the government did not support and allowed, the film could not be produced, Shivkumar warned.
