Tiktok has announced that the Android users in the United States can now download and connect the short-video platform through the package kit available on their official website. This step comes when the app is unavailable on Google and Apple’s App Store, which was after the enforcement of the new US law to be implemented on January 19.

The law passed on national security basis, the Chinese -origin company of Tikok, bidens, app needs to be sold or facing complete ban in the country. Despite the law being effective, neither Google nor Apple have restored tickets on their respective platforms.

President Donald Trump, who re -entered the office a day after the law came into force, signed an executive order delaying his enforcement for 75 days. However, Ticketkok has repeatedly denied such claims, stating that its recommendation algorithms and user data are stored on the Operse-Interested Cloud Server in the United States. The company also states that material moderation decisions for American users have been made within the country.

Despite the strong bilateral support for the ban under previous administration, free speech advocates have criticized the remedy, arguing that it reduces digital rights and prohibits access to widely used platforms .

Ticketkok’s future in the United States remains uncertain as the negotiations and legal battles continue, but with the undertaking to confirm any plan about potential sales.
