Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal wooed the audience with his effective language command on the occasion of Marathi Language Day.
The actor took Kavita Fakht Lad Mhan by the famous Marathi poet Kusumagraj to the stage and won hearts with his innocent pronunciation and lesson. The event held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Park Ground in Dadar saw major figures of the film industry and literary world, including singer Asha Bhosle, lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar, as well as actor Sonali Bendre and Ritish Deshmukh.
Kaushal, who plays the role of Chhatrapati SambhajiIn the historical drama ‘Chhawa’, he captured the microphone and expressed his deep connection with the state of Maharashtra, its language and culture. Speaking in this program, he openly said, “I should accept, I am very nervous.”

He said, “I studied Marathi up to the 10th standard, and adequately, I scored higher in Marathi than English. However, I am not as fluent, so please forgive any mistakes. Standing here after Javed Saheb and reciting a Marathi poetry is one of the most nerve-rolling moments of my life.”
Referring to how to work on the verse and learning about Sambhaji Maharaj helps him understand the nuances of Marathi, including the importance of the word ‘Kana’, he said, “Although I am a non-Maharashtra, I was educated in Maharashtra, and my career thrives here.
‘Chhawa’, directed by Laxman Utekar, has performed at the box office since its release on 14 February. The film is making waves all over India and amidst its success in Hindi -speaking areas, the film is now going to be released in Telugu. The film, which completed 2 weeks at the box office, hit Rs 398.25 crore in 14 days, which was now rolling the ball for the film, which now enters a club of Rs 400 crore. It is now not only the first hit film of 2025, but also the highest grossing film in Vicky’s film career.
