Xiaomi 15 Ultra to debut in India soon: Launch date, expected specifications and more. Mint

Tech giant Xiaomi India has officially confirmed that the much awaited Xiaomi 15 series will be launched in India on March 11. The series declared via a post on X, the series will include Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra and will be available at Amazon India, Xiaomi’s official website and selected retail outlets.

Recently, the company revealed the Xiaomi 15 series globally, which follows the highly praised Xiaomi 14 range of last year, both models continued Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica for better camera optics. The phone has significant upgrades including better telephoto lens and more powerful internal specifications.

Key specification

Xiaomi 15 Ultra, head of the series, with a 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive 3,200 NITS peak shikhar glow. In comparison, Xiaomi 15 performs a slightly short 6.36-inch FHD+ AMOLED with the same glow and fresh rate capabilities.

Display-wise, both smartphones are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor, which ensure top-level speed and efficiency. Xiaomi 15 will be available with 12GB RAM, while Xiaomi 15 Ultra will offer a great 16GB RAM version.

The camera system on both models is a standout feature. Xiaomi 15 Ultra includes 200MP Leica Telecto Lens, 50MP primary camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP front-faceing selfie camera with a quad-kamra setup with selfie camera. Xiaomi 15, while slightly less complex, has a 50MP primary camera, 50mp ultra-wide lens, 50MP telephoto lens and 32MP selfie camera.

Both devices run on Android 15, Xiaomi’s hyperos are layered with 2.0, and ultrasonic in-display comes with fingerprint scanner. In terms of durability, both models are rated to IP68 for dust and water resistance, making them ideal for everyday use.

The Xiaomi 15 series promises to distribute top-line features to Indian consumers, with an official release around the corner.
