New Delhi. State probe agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) is preparing to return Rs 12 crore to depositors of the Rose Valley chit fund scam. In such a situation, there is hope for Sahara investors as well. Because after Sahara Group got stuck in trouble, crores of people’s rupees are stuck. However, in this case too, the government is returning the money of Sahara depositors. The government is refunding the refund to Sahara Group depositors through the CRCS portal. The Central Government has disbursed around Rs.370 crore to over 4.29 lakh depositors of Sahara Group Cooperative Societies through the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal.

How much money do people have in Sahara?
The CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal was launched on 18 July 2023 to facilitate refunds to depositors who had invested in the Sahara Group following the Supreme Court order. Ever since the central government launched the portal, crores of investors of chit fund company Sahara are hoping to get back their stranded money. Now that hope has increased after the ED received money from the victims of the Rose Valley scam.
Sahara Group had deposited around Rs 80 thousand crore from more than 2.5 crore small investors in 26 states through various savings schemes. Several agencies, including the ED, have been investigating the Sahara group since 2008. Recently, through the CRCS-Sahara refund portal, the central government has disbursed around Rs 370 crore to over 4.29 lakh depositors of the Sahara Group.
The number of customers investing in Sahara is highest in UP at 85 lakhs. These people have invested 22 thousand crore rupees. At the same time, there are 5.5 lakh investors from Bihar and 2.4 lakh investors from Jharkhand. Since 2017-18, investors have stopped profiting in Sahara.
