In this episode of notes and cords, we talk to a Maiti Banni, a collaborative music forum, which mixes the vibrant and colorful world of Indian folk music with bad smell and blues rhythm. Built in 2012, Mati Banni literally means “the sound of the Earth” and the musician couple was founded by Nirali and Karthik.

While Neerlai Mewati is an Indian classical singer from Gharana, Karthik is an award -winning musician and producer. Over the years, Nirali and Karthik have collaborated with more than 250 famous musicians from more than 30 countries around the world, including Mongolia, Israel, United States and all over Europe.
