Trump fire Democrats on Federal Trade Commission

President Trump on Tuesday fired two Democratic members of the Federal Trade Commission, rejection of traditional freedom of the corporate regulator that would clear the way for the administration’s agenda and give legal challenge.
The White House told Democrats, Rebecca Kelly Slaughter and Alvaro Bedoya that the Presidents were ending their roles. The Congress made FTCs to enforce consumer protection and antitrust laws. It usually consists of five members, in which the President’s party holds three seats and the opposing party two.
Ms. Slotter said in a statement, “Today the President illegally expelled me from his position as a federal trade commissioner, violating the simple language of a law and set an example of the Supreme Court.” “Why? Because I have a voice. And he is afraid of what I will tell the American people.”
Mr. Trump’s maneuver is his latest attempt to claim the power of the presidential power on independent regulators in the agencies within the US government. Most of the regulators are President appointments who traditionally have a broad latitude to determine the direction of their agencies.
But the Trump administration has disregarded traditional security for those presidential appointments.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
