To open with Red Laurie Film Festival ‘5 September’, Oscar-Namcked Retailing of 1972 Munich Olympic tragedy

Red Laurie Film Festival has announced 5 SeptemberDirected by Tim Fahalabam, as its initial film. The historical thriller, presented by Bookmyshow and produced by Paramount Pictures, was nominated for the best original script at the 2025 Academy Awards and provides a transferred perspective on the 1972 Munich Olympic mortgage crisis.

Set within ABC Sports News Room, a few hundred feet away from the unforgiving tragedy, 5 September Real time captures the intensive challenges faced by journalists covering the incident. Starring John Magaro, Leone Benesh, Peter Sarasgard, Ben Chaplin and Benjamin Walker, the film has received significant praise for its entertaining story and powerful performance.
