The time and effort that Rasik makes to see a performance becomes meaningful when the performance meets their expectations. Jaikishore Mosalikanti and Kuchipudi’s Shivmohanam School’s group presentation ‘Tiambam’ experienced that beauty bliss.

The show was conceptualized on the three aspects of the dance – dance, dance and drama – and it revolved around the theme of three goddesses, ie Saraswati, Lakshmi and Durga. As stories related to each goddess came out, which was stable was the rich tapestry of music and movement.

‘Or Kundendu Tushara ‘Hara Dawala’, after a traditional tribute to the goddess of knowledge, the popular Muthuswamy Dixit Kriti ‘Shri Saraswati Namostuha’ was presented in the raga Arabic. The simple choreography and synchronized dance of the four artists highlighted the characteristics of Saraswati.

The story ‘Sri Udabhavam’, the story of Lakshmi and the Kshirsagar churning episode moved from the sea to the emergence of the Goddess, which ended in the marriage of Lakshmi and Vishnu.

Jaikishore entered the story as a narrator, but soon the mountains became Mandra. When the snake was being drawn on both sides for the churning of the sea, the sparkle of Jaikishore increased the visual appeal of the episode. In the marriage sequence, singer Aditya Narayanan’s singing and depiction of rituals were highly impressive. Its lyrics were from Pappu Venugopal Rao and music was by Kuldeep Pai.

The restrained manner in which the story of Durga and Mahishasura was depicted and the pronunciation of the ‘Jai Jai Durga’ was effective.

The main attraction of Kuchipudi singing is always a dance on a wave or brass plate. Presented by a male and four female dancers, the wave was choreographed by Narayan Tirtha with meaningful breaks and loud groups and single movements. Thilana made the closing in the raga brindavani composed by Ramesh and Jaikishore.

The music team’s contribution in this show was very large, in which the singing of Sveta Prasad respectively, the pronunciation of Aditya’s batter, the attack on the Mridangam of BP Haribabu, Ishwar Ramakrishnan and B.K. Muthukumar’s sweet violin and flute were included. Padmavani Mosalikanti, Ala Venugopal, Vedya Spurth Konda, Satvika Reddy, Lakshmi Raghunath and Srisamohna Mosalikanti brought choreography with their dance.
