The wait for Samsung’s thinnest smartphone may end at the end, as a new report suggests a new launch date for the Galaxy S25 Edge. While the smartphone was expected to be launched on April 15, a new report of Sam Mobile, through Tipster Max Jambor, claims that the phone could be launched on May 13.

Samsung first teased the Galaxy S25 age during the launch of its flagship lineup in January, and was rumored to launch the phone later on 15 April. While the new launch date by Samsung is not yet confirmed, most leaks point to a temporary May-June deadline for the launch of Samsung’s new flagship.

Samsung is allegedly planning an online-cavalry event for the Galaxy S25 Edge and it is not clear that the phone will go on sale in the same month.

Why did the Galaxy S25 Age delay?

Since Samsung did not officially confirm the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge, there is no official clarification for the delay. However, a possible cause of delay in launch of S25 Edge may lead to a recent death of co-intended executive officer Han Jong-Hey, which may have led to a change in leadership within the company.

Meanwhile, a report by Winfuture suggests that there may be technical problems with the Galaxy S25 edge, causing the phone to be delayed.

According to the leak, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to have a 6.7 -inch flatg display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 2,600 notes. The phone can fot an ultrasonic fingerprint similar to the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup with corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 security.

Under the hood, the phone may have the facility of Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor, the same processor that was found on the choice of OnePlus 13 (review) and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. It can be combined with 12 GB RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

This phone can come with the latest Vanui 7 of Samsung based on Android 15 with 7 years of support of OS update and security patch. The UI is likely to include all highly touched characteristics of Oneui 7 such as real-time translation, audio eraser, transcription assist and now bar.

The phone can pack a 3,900mAh battery (smaller than a 4,700mAh setup on Galaxy S25 with support for 25W charging.
