“But recent events have reconsidered us about how we get guilty and almost targeted every time we are proxy for the artist.
“We are closing until we consider ourselves and the best way to provide a platform for free expression without endangering our property. We invite all artists, audiences and stakeholders to discuss and share our ideas for free and request our guidance so that we also honor the rights of artists.”
In a previous post on Monday, Habitat Studio released an apology for “hurting them all by this video”.
“The residence is not involved in making the recent video of Kunal Kamra and does not support the ideas expressed by it,” it said.
Habitat Studio, where Mr. Kamra’s show was held, is the site where the controversial ‘India’s Got Latent’ was filmed and led the major controversy last month.
On Sunday (March 23, 2025), a large number of Shiv Sena workers gathered outside the hotel, where the studio is located. He allegedly vandalized the studio and hotel premises, said by the Mumbai Police.
Police on Monday filed an FIR against a comedian Mr. Kamra, which has often given rise to controversies, allegedly defamation against Mr. Shinde during the show.
He filed a case against about 40 Shiv Sena workers for alleged vandalism at the Khar-based site, where Mr. Kamra’s show “Gaddar” (Gaddar) was shot in Mr. Shinde with Jib, as well as the hotel in which the studio is located.

Amid criticism by Shiv Sena leaders, there were some who defended comic and called barbarity by party workers.
Representative Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut called Mr. Kamra’s latest comment “Kunal Ka Lotus”.
Stand-up comic and lyricist Varun Grover shared the video of Shiv Sena workers at the venue on his X account, writing: “Skill India. Make in India. Ease of doing business. Mother of democracy.” Advocate-activist Prashant Bhushan also posted a video on the microblogging site and captioned it: “Shinde Shiv Sena showed Modi showing how they also face criticism in the gesture!”
