Samsung Galaxy A56 5G review: Look and feel that you will win over, but is it enough? , Mint

Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy A56 5G in India with the latest Exynos processor, a vibrant AMOLED display, an improvised design and the latest a UI 7. I am using the Galaxy A56 for the previous month and here is a wide form that the phone lives in everyday use.
inside the box:
Inside the Box of the Galaxy A56, you get the device itself, a SIM ejector tool and a USB cable are wrapped inside a paper cover and some documents that never read. It is similar to other Samsung devices in the past, including the Galaxy S25 series, where you have to buy a compatible fast charging adapter or do it with slow charging using 3G party chargers (on it later).
design:
The Galaxy A56 5G comes with a glass sandwich design, which contains Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ Safety on both forward and back. The frame is made of aluminum with curved edges just like the Galaxy S25 lineup.
However, in terms of A56 design, Samsung’s Prikier does not fully copy Prasad and stands in its own league with a pill -shaped camera cutout and minimal yet dental color options.
The Galaxy A56 feels a premium in-hand due to its aluminum build and touch button. It does not hurt that the phone is actually very thin at 7.4 mm and weighs only 200 grams (to be 198 to be accurate).
I received the color version of the olive for review that goes with my taste, but if you find this color a little bit then there are three more color variants: pink, graphite and lightgre.
The new Samsung mid-ranger comes with an IP67 rating, which still guarantees safety until he is submerged 1 meter under water for 30 minutes, while not on top of the line.
Display:
The Galaxy A56 comes at the top with a 120Hz refresh rate and corning gorilla glass protection with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. It has a peak glow of 1200 nits in the High Brightness Mode (HBM), which is not only inside the house but also in the bright outdoor.
The display on the Galaxy A56 comes down with a chunky chin at the bottom with thick bezels on the three sides. This is not something that I am a big fan that even mid-range phones come with very slim bezels these days. However, the Samsung mid-ranger comes out slightly when you compare it with a recently launched Pixel 9A choice with similar bezels and poor performance protection.
software:
The Galaxy A56 runs on the latest one UI 7 based on Android 15 and Samsung has promised 6 years OS update and 6 -year security patch with the device.
A UI 7 on the Galaxy A56 is very similar that we have seen with the first Galaxy S25 lineup with the same liquid animation, now bar, boulder icon and widget and a re -designed system.
It is not great that a UI on the Galaxy A56 comes not only on the home screen but also on the lock screen (glyph interface) not only with blotware and advertisements. Given my limited experience in the past with The Galaxy A series, I was withdrawn with the amount of chaos in the premium mid-ranger and this is something that Samsung should get rid of future.
Also that a UI7 is currently the best Android experience that you can get at this time. Do not misunderstand me, oxygen OS15 is still a close second, but a UI 7 bus feels more liquid and it is easy for a late person to adapt.
As the time passed, I fell in love with the piles of changes that allowed to create a UI7 users, including the wallpaper’s color notification tray and app icons and the person has the ability to adapt the shapes and colors of the widget on the lock screen to meet the person’s beauty sensations.
There are some AI features that have been taken beyond the Galaxy S25 series, with the best face (choosing from different types of facial manifestations for the image), object eraser, video for auto trim and read vow, but I am not sure they are sure that they deserve ‘terrible intelligence’ monkeys/.
Display:
The Galaxy A56 is the first Samsung smartphone to be operated by Exynos 1580 built on 4Nm processor and is paired with Xclipse 540 GPU. It is a competent setup that achieves the most day tasks without any mess. It can handle even a bit of mild gaming, but more than that there is a kind of stretch.
Given the benchmark, the phone gets a score of 9,21,658, which is quite above the score seen on Snapdragon 7S General 3, but Snapdragon 8S General 3 or Demistance is less than the number of 8400.
On Geekbench, the phone gets a single core score of 1348 and a multi -core score of 3869. I tried to run 3D bench wildlife extra stress test on this device several times, but the error message stopped it from running.
During gaming or during benchmark, there was no excessive heating issue to report. Credit where this reason, Samsung has done a good job in the thermal investigation with this processor.
However, there was a part of the frame drop seen during long gaming sessions, which suggests that the phone is definitely not a good bet for gamers. The BGMI currently does not support ‘Ultra’ or ‘Extreme’ frame rate and the maximum you can set is in HDR settings.
Camera:
Removing the glasses from the path, 50MP primary shooter with OIS and 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. Sadly, there is no telephoto lens with the Galaxy A56 and the third camera slot is filled by 5MP macro lens. There is a 12MP selfie shooter in front.
We will later reach the back cameras, but will talk about the first 12MP selfie shooter. Just don’t go with the resolution. It is probably the best selfie camera that you can get on this price range, with lots of expansion retention and natural color tone. There is also an option to select a hot ton if it prefers.
The 50MP primary shooter is able to shoot some beautiful looking shots in the event of excellent expansion retention and great dynamic range. However, there is no telephoto shooter here, meaning that images lose in detail because you progress to further zoom, which is also limited to 10X.
The censor’s night -time performance is a hit with a hit or decent dynamic range and white balance, but dark images lose a noticeable halo effect around some details and artificial light sources.
Portrait shots are cured under artificial lights, but the sensor may recall the skin tone for some time and even prefer images. During the portrait shots in the artificial lighting, there were some noticeable issues along with edge detection.
Ultra-wide angle camera actually performs me better than expected for 12MP shooter. The primary shooter causes a slight detail when switching to the ultra-wide angle lens, but the final pictures maintain the same color tone as the main lens. Even at night time, ultra-wide angle lens stands, but the noise grows on 12MP lenses and the halo effects around artificial light sources are even more noticeable.
Decision:
Price of For 41,999 base variants, the Galaxy A56 provides a captivating package with its visually minimal design, responsive and feature-pack software, a competent camera system and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.
However, the device comes with some compromise. The presence of blotware and adhaware in the UI is at this price level, and thick bezels around the performance separates from its overall appeal. In addition, while the exynos processor handles daily tasks, it can struggle under gaming for a long time, and decrease compared to the 5,000mAh battery competition.
Despite its flaws, however, the Galaxy A56 is still an excellent option for someone in search of a well -designed, a well -designed, a well -designed from a reliable brand without the price tag of a full flagship phone.
