Poco X4 Pro 5G First Impressions: Best upgrade over the previous model!
The Poco X4 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 18,999 in India. There is no doubt that this smartphone is very similar to the Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G we recently reviewed. The rear panel is different in the Poco phone and there are some differences in the specifications. But the body ratio and dimensions of both the phones are the same. All ports and buttons are placed the same. The charger and USB cable of both the smartphones are also the same. Even their boxes look similar, except for the printed material on them.
The Poco X4 Pro 5G weighs 205 grams, which is 3 grams more than the weight of Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G. This may be due to the camera module. If seen carefully, the cameras are also fitted in the same position in both the phones. Along with the primary camera, the AI is also printed in the same empty space as seen in the Redmi phone.
The difference is visible in the back finish of Poco X4 Pro 5G. Apart from Poco’s signature yellow color, this phone also comes in Laser Blue and Laser Black. All have a pattern of lines like seen in laser stage lights. When the phone is shaken, lights are seen coming out from both the corners. The camera module has the Poco logo in big letters. This is a brand that mostly does not go into the details of the design, but it looks quite good in its black unit.
It has a 64 megapixel camera. We will find out by testing it in the full review whether it has been downgraded in real terms or not. Apart from this, you get an 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2 megapixel macro camera and a 16 megapixel front camera.
The phone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC and a 5000mAh capacity battery comes with 67W fast charging. The phone has a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It has Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone has stereo speakers. It comes with dual 5G support but the SIM tray is hybrid. For connectivity, it is equipped with Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS. The device also has an infrared emitter on the top. Apart from this, a 3.5mm audio jack is also available in it.
The Poco X4 Pro 5G comes with Android 11 based MIUI 11 skin. It seems that Poco wanted to provide an app drawer enabled by default. But apart from that, everything else is the same as it was in the previous model. It is expected that Android 12 update will also be given in it.
The base variant of Poco X4 Pro 5G has 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The price of the variant is Rs 18,999. Its 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant is priced at Rs 19,999. Apart from this, there is also an 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant which comes for Rs 21,999. Poco is also offering offers and exchange bonuses for customers of some banks.
Poco was considered a brand completely focused on youth from Xiaomi. Now the company is on a new path. There are already many smartphones of Redmi Note 11 series available in the market and they also seem to clash with each other at the price point. In such a situation, it becomes very difficult for you to choose a better phone from these.
It may not seem right to focus too much on the similarities between the two smartphones, but these are the first impressions of this smartphone. These facts are very difficult to ignore. We will do a full review of this device so that you can know everything about it in detail. Till then stay tuned to Gadgets 360.
