Paresh Puja Voice notes proceeds on concert India tour

Paresh Pahua’s music journey began with three – not with one tool, but with a train. While riding his first train to his grandmother, he did not just tell the story; They performed this, converted the rhythm of wheels and the rhythm of tracks into their first creation. Even before learning the words, he expressed experience through sounds. The music was always a part of it, although the formal training remained elusive. His love for the cassette – where songs were associated with dialogues – inspired the format of his voice notes concert India Tour.
The tour will take the audience through 12 original songs and six voice notes, including hits like ‘Dorn Dorn’, ‘Botlan’ and ‘Kajal’ across Chandigarh, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai.
Speaking on the phone, Paresh explained the concept of the tour. “This is a concert with a story. I play a major role in storytelling. I am always deeply associated with voice notes. My day starts with a voice note from my mother, greet me, greet me, friends and work related messages-after exchanges-even through voice notes. Even my music starts.”

At its core, The Voice notes concert is the story of two people who balance life and their career in Mumbai, which tells through six voice notes and 12 songs. “This is the heart of the concert. That’s why I call it voice notes; for me, they are just more than messages; they are the foundations of my music and world connections.”
A living room on stage
Instead of a traditional concert setup, the stage for the concert is designed as Paresh’s living room, which is re -re -forming the warmth and intimacy of its early jamming sessions with friends. “We wanted the audience feel that they are in my house, experiencing my love story. That is why it is called Paresh Pahuja and friend – because everyone is made to feel like a friend, from crew to the audience. Always have tea, water, and a warm, invited environment. The show is not a concert or a play.

The concept for voice notes concerts was spontaneously born, like the creative journey of the show. “It started with me with my musician friends Bundish bandits And raga n anger for a casual jam session. I did not know what we were going to perform, but I knew we had to do it. ,
With rehearsal in full enthusiasm, Paresh felt that something was missing – a legend thread to tie the song together. This is when the idea of inclusion of recorded voice notes in the show emerged. “I reached my friend, actress Anupriya Goenka, who recorded voice notes. The whole process came out systematically.”

Many songs depicted in the concert have been in Paresh’s personal chest for five to six years, the songs never got the right platform as they did not fit the mainstream commercial music mold. “The producers often told me that my songs would not work – either Intro was too long or Kavita broke the traditional structure. But every time someone told me it, I took it as a challenge. Now, the same songs are trending on spotify and other platforms.”

‘Bandish dacoit’ center on stage
Paresh became a familiar face as Mahi in the web series Bandish bandit season 2But some people knew about their music side until ‘Dorn Dorn’ went viral.
“People knew me as an actor and assumed that music was just a hobby. But when ‘Dorn …’ was closed around the same time. Bundish banditsHe started making relations. This is when the demand for live show increased. ,
In Bundish banditsParesh had to play the sitar – a device he had never kept before. “During the audition, he asked if I could play a string instrument. I confidently said yes to the guitar. But when I played the role, I realized that I had to play the sitar! I was petrified, but learning it is one of the most prosperous experiences of my life.”
Paresh credited writing and direction Bundish bandits To shape Mahi, her rebellious rock-star sitarist character. More than only attitude, Mahi’s original Angest was important – disregarding the tradition and belief that education in music should not be a privilege. Paresh wanted this message to come authentically, not as a performance. He praised director Anand Tiwari for creative freedom, which allowed Mahi’s body language and personality to develop systematically.
Paresh’s first experience came with Telugu cinema Operating valentine(2024), to give him a taste of the grand story of the industry. “I would like to do another big Telugu project! I will jump on the occasion of cooperation, especially with filmmakers like Rajamouli or a new wave of storytellers in Telugu cinema. India is rich in unreliable stories in cultures, and I am kissing all of them, which I am ready to romance especially.
