Openai unveils new AI agents for research

A week ago, Openai released a device that can go online to shop for groceries or book a restaurant reservation. It is now offering AI technology that can collect information from the Internet and synthesize it in brief reports.
Openai unveiled new equipment with a performance on YouTube on Sunday, a few days after showing technology to MPs, policy makers and other officials in Washington.
Washington CEO Kevin Weel said, “It can do complex research work that can take a person anywhere from 30 minutes to 30 days.” In contrast, intensive research can complete such tasks in five to 30 minutes, depending on complexity.
Artificial intelligence researchers call such technology as AI agent. While chatbott can answer questions, can write poems and generate images, agents can use other software and services on the Internet. This can include anything from ordering dinner through the dooradash, to synthesize information from the Internet.
During the briefing on Capital Hill, Mr. Welle showed the technology collecting information about Albert Einstein. He asked the device to make a detailed report about the physicist for a fictional Senate Staff member, preparing for a Congress hearing, where Einstein is a candidate for the US Energy Secretary.
In addition to providing information about Einstein’s background and personality, it created five questions that a senator could ask the physicist to determine if he was the right person for the job.
“It can surf on the web and understand lessons and images and PDF,” said Mr. Weel. “And it can recurically. It can make a discovery and it leads to other discoveries and then it can synthesize all the information she has learned. ,
Mr. Wayle said that the reports generated by the equipment included quotes, where information was received. But such AI technologies can still misunderstand things or even create information – an event called AI researcher “hallucinations”. This may mean that it provides wrong quotes.
Openai said the equipment could struggle to separate official information from rumors and it often failed to accurately express when it was uncertain about the information that was distributing it.
Nevertheless, Mr. Weel argued that the equipment can help the United States accelerate economic growth. He said that this tool would be particularly useful for people in areas like Finance, Science and Law.
(New York Times sued Openai and his partner, Microsoft, accusing them of violation of copyright violations of news material related to the AI system. Openai and Microsoft denied those claims.)
Openai said that, starting from Sunday, deep research will be available to anyone, which takes membership of the Chatgpt Pro, which is a $ 200-maheen service, which provides access to all the latest equipment of the company. It is also planning to offer equipment through its other payment services.
The device is based on the same technique that runs the chatgpt. This technique is what AI researchers call a nervous network – a mathematical system that can learn skills by analyzing data.
In recent months, Openai has developed versions of technology that can “cause” through tasks, determine through testing and error what action has to be taken. Deep Research is based on the company’s latest Reasoning Technology, Openai O3.
