OnePlus can proceed towards removing the iconic alert slider that has beautified its equipment in favor of a new button for years. In particular, the alert slider is one of the unique features of the Chinese company, and was complemented by an IR blaster with OnePlus 12 and 13 series.

According to Leikar Digital Chat Station (via Weibo), OnePlus and Oppo, collectively called OUGA Group, will remove the alert slider from its upcoming smartphone in favor of an adaptable action button, like an Apple, as the iPhone 15 and iPhone is seen on 16. series.

The alert slider allows users to silent their phone with ringing and vibrate a metallic button on the left.
