Nayantara requests fans to leave the title ‘Lady Superstar’, says the name is closest to her heart

Actress Nayantara has requested her fans to request a boona, which has been asked to refer to her name instead of the popular title “Lady Superstar”. In a note shared on X (East Twitter) on Tuesday, the actress thanked her for the love and praise she received, but emphasized that the title can sometimes create an image that makes an artist away from her craft.

Addressing his fans, media and film industry, Nayantara wrote, “Many of you have referred to me as a ‘Lady Superstar’, which is a title born of your immense affection. I give me a lot to crown me with such a valuable title. However, I request you all that I say ‘Nayantara’. It seems that the name is what I keep the closest of my heart.

She went to explain that while appreciation and recognition are invaluable, they can sometimes make a hindrance between an actor and her audience. He said, “The title and praise are precious, but they can sometimes create an image that separates us from our work, our craft, and unconditional bond, which we share with you – the audience,” he said.
