Ever since director Nag Ashwin Kalki 2898 AD.In the headlines by Prabhas, during his unprecedented run in 2024, the film was thrilled to the audience, the promotion for the sequel has been the sky-high. Now, in a welcome surprise for fans, Ashwin has revealed that the film will go on the floor in December this year.

Recently in a media interaction, in the 10th-year-old ceremony of his debut Yevde SubramaniamAshwin confirmed that preparations for the much awaited second part Kalki Going on and the film will start shooting in December 2025.

In addition, in an update, who has thrilled Prabhas’s fans, the director also said that the second part of the franchise will show more to Prabhas (Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan’s first film focused on the arc of characters). Ashwin said, “Prabhas will be more in the second part, as it will be prominently focused around the characters of Karna and Ashwatthama.”

In an first interview with us, Ashwin had said that the second film would detect a lot of the film’s opponent, Yaskin of Kamal Haasan, his backstory and his purpose. “Our idea was to present Yaskin as a mysterious, shady figure. For now, we want the audience to know that the use of Yaskin has made him a superpower, but he has also created his nemesis; it is a group of events.

He also revealed how the second film would introduce Kasi, Complex and Shambala, a fourth world, ‘Flux Lands’.

In the first film, Prabhas’s character Bhairav, a prize hunter, was manifested as a rebirth in the city of Distopian in Kashi. The film starred Amitabh as Ashwatthama, while Deepika played the role of a woman who takes a child, which is believed to be the last incarnation of Lord Vishnu, called Kalki. The first film also ended with a clifhenger, in which Hassan’s Yaskin became more powerful than before.

The film edited Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, with cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic and music by Panthosh Narayanan. Nitin Zihani Chaudhary served as a production designer

The film produced by Vyjanthi films grossed more than the rupee. 1000 crores at the global box office.
