Music composer Pritam Chakraborty Files allegedly steals ₹ 40 lakh after the police complaint after office

Police said on Sunday that the theft of Rs 40 lakh has been reported from the Mumbai office of Bollywood music composer Pritam Chakraborty. The Mumbai Police said the incident came to light when the amount, which was kept in the office by the manager of Pritam, went missing.

According to a complaint lodged at Malad Police Station by Vineet Shheda, the manager of Pritam, the money was brought for the purposes related to the work a few days ago. Chheda received the amount and placed it in the office, where an employee named Ashish Sayal was present at that time.

The manager later left for Pritam’s residence to sign some documents. On returning, he found that the money bag was missing. Other office staff informed him that Sayal had taken the bag, claiming that he was going to take it to Pritam’s house. However, when Chheda tried to contact Sayal, her phone stopped.

He then visited Sayal’s residence but was found missing. Subsequently, Chheda approached Malad police station and lodged a complaint. The police have registered a case and started investigating the case. Further details are awaited.

On the work front, Pritam last acted in hit films Rocky and queen’s love story And You Jhoomi Main Makkar. The next big project of the composer is Alexander, Salman Khan starrer and directed by AR Murugados. The film is set to hit theaters on Eid 2025.
