Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s mother, Mallika Sukumaran, has publicly defended her son amid the ongoing controversy around the recently released film. I don’t think they will ever say that Mohanlal is like my younger brother. I have known Lal since childhood. Mohanlal has liked my son for many people.

“But it is very sad that some people are trying to make my son a goat of sacrifice without the knowledge of red or producers. Director Prithviraj has not cheated anyone associated with this film or any film. He will never do it,” he wrote.
In her post, Mallika also clarified that Prithviraj, who directed ImpuanNobody cheated anyone and that all the key members of the project, including the author Murali Gopi, were involved in script approval and amendment. “If you think there is a problem with the film ImpuanThen everyone in this group is responsible for this. Despite the backlash, L2: Empuran Has achieved remarkable success at the box office. The film coming to theaters on March 27 became the first Malayalam film of Rs 80 crore worldwide in its early weekends.
