MNM party put up posters supporting Kamal Haasan on the line of Kannada language

The Makkal Needi Miam (MNM) party has put up posters in the line starting with its comment on the origin of Kannada language in Chennai, and claimed that “Truth does not need any apology”.
After the film’s release in Karnataka, a supporter-Kanada groups were protested, beyond the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce meeting before the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce meeting.
Mr. Kamal’s comment that “Kannada was born out of Tamil” in the audio release of his film in Chennai in the last week of May, stopped a controversy, protesting in the neighboring state. The artists of South India defended them, claiming that they have targeted to promote unity.
On June 5, 2025, with ‘Thug Life’ to hit theaters, Mr. Haasan, who refused to apologize for “pronounce the truth”, sought a direction to the Karnataka High Court for the film release.
The image of posters shared by MNM activists said that the party was strongly standing with its leader and emphasized that there was no need for forgiveness to tell the truth.
