Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Manoj Kumar a “true son of Bharat”. In his message, the Prime Minister said,
“Manoj Kumar ji’s films ignited patriotic flame in the hearts of millions. His story, dedication to the nation, and powerful screen presence made him a symbol of selfless love for the country. Their contribution to cinema and culture will never forget.
Manoj Kumar’s son, Kunal Goswami shared an emotional statement with the media:
“My father died peacefully at 3:30 pm. He was unwell for a long time, but fought every challenge with strength and grace. With the blessings of Sai Baba and by the grace of God, he breathed his last peace.
Television producer Manish R. Goswami, Manoj Kumar’s cousin, family members and a national icon were reflected at the loss.
He said, “This is a sad day for the whole country. The era of making patriotic films is over today. It is the end of a true Indian and true patriotism. What should I say about his life and films given to Indian cinema? His contribution was immense. He lived for our country.
