Mammooty rejects rumors of cancer, confirming that he is healthy and on a break for Ramadan. Malayalam Movie News – The Times of India

Malayalam superstar Mammooty has discontinued viral social media rumors, claiming that they were detected cancer and were admitted to a hospital in Chennai in critical condition. False reports spread rapidly, expressing concern among fans.
The Mammooty team issued an official statement, in which the rumors were called “fake news”. His Public Relations (PR) team clarified that the legendary actor is currently on holiday observing the fast for Ramadan and is taking a fixed break from filming, saying that he is spending quality time with his family in Chennai. “In fact, after the break, he would return to the shooting of Mahesh Narayanan’s film with Mohanlal,” his PR representative told Mid-Day.
The Redit Post claimed that Mammooty colon was in the early stage of cancer, but assured that it was treated. This rejected claim spread quickly on social media, causing confusion and concern among his fans. However, the team of Mammooty has completely dismissed speculation, confirming that he is in good health and not hospitalized.

On the work front, Mammooty and Mohanlal recently began to film their much awaited project in Sri Lanka in November 2023. The film, temporarily directed by Mahesh Narayanan, titled Mamman, and is rumored for the convenience of Kunchako Booban, Nayantara and Fahad Fasil. However, an official cast announcement is still waiting.

The project marks Mammooty and Mohanlal’s first on-screen reunion in 16 years. The pair first collaborated in Kadal Kadanu Oru Mathukutty (2013), where Mohanlal made a cameo, and earlier in Christian Brothers (2011), where Mamut had a guest role.
