Butter is cultivated extensively in Kosi area of the district. Makhana produced from here is supplied to many states across the country as well as abroad. A group of people in this area located in Nohta Block has been active in Makhana business for many years. This group buys butter from different places, prepares it freshly and then sells it to traders. The prepared Makhana is not only supplied to different parts of the country but also to foreign countries. Makhana’s good profits and income have made this business quite profitable.
