Telugu film LailaDirected by Ram Narayan and starring the world, its promotional material clearly underlined its base. The story revolves around a man, who forces herself to hide herself as a woman to escape from a group of men for her blood – only one to be ogled by one followers. The trailer openly indicated on double entrepreneurs and adult humor in the store. However, the issues of the film are far ahead of its tasteless comedy. The story is aggressively cursed, doubled on retrograde trops, causing almost every sequence and follows an examination to sit through disguise.
For example, a subplot, where a family rejects multiple potential brides because they are not “beautiful”, which are enough to match the glamor of heroines from Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster films. Their last choice-one fair-skinned, stunning bride-when she wears her makeup, reveals dark skin. The son is destroyed, while the father is almost paralyzed, in clear shock. It is difficult to believe that such tone-def sequences are still being written in 2025, presenting them as comedy.

To call Laila The old will be an understanding. Staring, objecting women, assuming them as props, and making skin color a subject of humor – these problematic elements have prone to mainstream cinema for a long time. LailaHowever, by creating all of them together and creating a legend around raw, unstounted gags, they take them to a new low. Sonu’s attempt to create sympathy through relations with his late mother or failed to resolve the story to her comrades with women in her life. Even referring to Chiranjeevi blockbusters cannot save this bad film. Laila One is without a single redeeming quality.
Perhaps the worldly Sen intended to provoke his ‘slave of month’ image, but it is a wrong.
