It is reported here that Abhishek Bachchan is ready to take Shah Rukh Khan in Siddharth Anand’s ‘King’ – The Times of India

After Pathan’s success, Siddharth Anand formed an action thriller team for Raja with Shah Rukh Khan. The film stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma in the lead roles. Pre-production with the filming set starting in May/June 2025 is in full swing.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, Abhishek is designed for a major change in the king, where Siddharth Anand aims to show him completely in a new avatar. He will take a different look with a lean, menacing body. Abhishek has already started training, preparing a deep face with Shah Rukh Khan in the action thriller.

The report further mentions that Abhishek is eager to undergo a change and impress the audience. Known for his versatility, this will be his first complete negative role with Shah Rukh Khan. His lean eye in the king is expected to leave an impact, with Siddharth Anand planning a face between two strong on-screen personalities. SRK is also undergoing intensity training to get a specific body for the film.

King is ready to start filming in Mumbai around May/June, followed by major programs in Europe. Along with Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, the film will also have a top actress in a cameo. The producers are considering Deepika Padukone or Kareena Kapoor for the role of 15–20 days, as the female lead is contrary to SRK.
