Infinix Note 50x 5G review: A budget animal with a bright defect. Mint

INFINIX has recently launched its first phone, note 50x of the year, which is special for more than one reason. For the beginning, the phone resolves (or at least claims) one of the biggest issues that users had about infinix – dull software experience – by giving a modern touch and fluid animation in the new XOS 15. The new budget phone starts at the price. 11,499 has a lot of promising characteristics such as military grade certification, a powerful (for price) MediaTek Dimatives 7300 ultimat processor, 5,500mAh battery and 45W fast charging.

But does this phone actually turn all this promise into performance or is it just a marketing gimmick by another over -branded brand? Well, I have been using Note 50x for a few days and here my two bits are on how the phone performs in the real world.

inside the box:

Opening the green binfinix note 50x, one is greeted by the device a thin plastic coating itself, a SIM Ejector Tool, a 45W adapter, a USB Type A Type C Cable, a VIP card (perhaps for warranty, for some paperwork), some paperwork and SIM Egctor Tool.

I found the 6GB RAM/128 GB storage variant of the phone for review in Titanium gray color variants. If you like a more attractive option then also a fascinated purple and sea air green (vegetarian leather back) color variants.

Design and connectivity: square-head

Behind the Note 50x, you get a rectangular camera module, which has infinix branding in the curved edges and downwards. While both back and frames are made from plastic, Infinix has given it a special coating that gives the phone more premium finish.

In fact, the phone looks and feels so premium that when I handed over it to some people to experience it and told them the price, most of them were surprised. So for a budget device also for infinix to give such a solid construction quality.

Moving forward, volume rockers and power buttons – which also doubles as a fingerprint reader – can be found to the right while the hybrid SIM card on the left side of the phone is reserved for the slot that includes 2 SIM cards and slots for a micro SD card.

The phone comes with support for 95G bands, 4G Volte, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and GPS. I got 5G single on the device and was also able to make a phone call.

Like many other phones under The 15,000 price segment, the note 50x also comes with an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. This phone also comes with MIL-STD-810H military grade certification for durability, a feature that we have seen in the past with many mid-range motorola phones.

Display: a big lethargy

The largest disappointment with Note 50X comes in the display department with a phone with a 120Hz refresh rate and 672 NITS peak brightness with a 6.67 -inch HD+LCD panel.

The effects of the low resolution panel appear immediately when you compare it with other phones in the section with a 1080p panel because the colors were washed and there is an immediate noticeable problem during low light landscapes.

While using indoors, the performance is still workingable, a real issue with visibility when you use the phone during bright outs.

Stereo speakers on the device provide crisp and clear audio for the price, but they do not get enough loud that you ideally have to use a wireless headset or speaker to play music or watch movies.

Processor: solid performance for price

Note 50X MediaTek Demistance is powered by 7300 ultimat processor, the first phone with this processor in India claims Infinix. The reality, however, is that it is just another marketing trick, which changes its own chips to the name of ‘Energy’, which was with Oppo Reno 12 Pro last year.

Demistance 7300 is not a bad processor, however, contrast it is a very capable processor that has been constantly painted on the phone. 15,000 of which I had earlier reviewed like CMF Phone 1 and Lava Agni 3. I have a problem with smartphone manufacturers and chipmakers that just have to sell more equipment using different names for SOC.

On one hand, on one side, like the other phone, which I tested with the same processor, like, is a solid artist to run day -to -day tasks such as surfing on the Note 50X web, different -clad apps and even some mild gaming. I tried to play the call of duty mobile and BGMI on the phone and when the game was playing on the highest settings, certainly some topical frame drops had to be noted.

One thing to note here is that Infinix claims that the note can run BGMI on the 50x 90FPS graphics settings, but it was not on my unit because the phone selected maximum HDR graphics with only ‘Ultra HDR’ and ‘extreme HDR’ options, resulting in a hostility from the game soon.

In terms of benchmark, the Note 50x gets an entutu score of 6,23,056 on the antutu which is equal to this chipset. On Geekbench 6, Note 50x receives a single core score of 1004 and a multi-core score of 2880.

On 3D Mark’s Wildlife Extreme Stress Test, the phone gets the best loop score of 858 and the lowest loop score of 854 with stability at 99.5%. This chipset is not known to show any unusual heating issues and the note 50x does not separate with a slightly warmer of the phone during long -term gaming sessions, but does not reach the level of being too hot to handle.

software:

Infinix was the biggest change brought with Note 50X to adopt the new XOS 15 UI based on Android 15. When you start using the phone with UI, already feel much more snapier than infinix phones and animations look much more sophisticated.

The XOS 15 brings a lot of new features while maintaining some very useful elements from its predecessor. For example, the dynamic island is still here (which calls the infinix call dynamic bar), with social assistants (allows call recording and other options during WhatsApp calls) and Hello lighting (LED lights that are turned on during charging, gaming and new information).

The UI also remains advertising free with very few apps installed on the first boot, including Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and some other third party apps. The good news is that Infinix now allows users to select several apps and either draw them together in a folder or uninstall them if necessary.

There are some new icons packs and the notification panel can also be given separate color palettes, but yet there is no option like Samsung’s One UI 7 to match the colors of the wallpaper yet.

There were a lot of things in the run for the launch of this device, but most of these features were not particularly useful for me, did not work or simply overheps. In the case, the photo app on XOS 15 is called AI Gallery and the background also does not have support for AI Eraser to remove unwanted items.

Infinix continues to use similar shapes and designs for most elements in the UI that prevents the UI from receiving a completely modern turn.

The gallery app has some good features as well as supports to correct the text from images and to create cutouts of themes, both the possibility of oxygen OS (an easy feature, yet) is ‘motivated’.

Overall, the new XOS 15 is a mixed bag for me that has a certain improvement in liquidity and app animation, but the UI requires further improvement to remove chaos and give it a more refined look.

Camera and Battery: Equal for course

The 50MP primary shooter at the Note 50X gives sufficient shots for the price in daylight, which is seen in the Infinix phone in the past. However, the details go to the toss under low light and the end result is not very satisfactory.

The 8MP selfie has well distributed good color breeding and sharp focus, but the resulting images become unstable even in a state of good light.

Overall, I would say that the camera is nothing out of the order on this smartphone, they can get click Okesh Pictures, but keep their expectations in the check.

The 5,500mAh battery provides decent backups and can be easily turned on with you a full day of use. When it leaves you, the 45W charger given inside the box can top the battery in about an hour.

Decision:

At an effective price of 10,499 (with bank offers), Infinix Note 50x is definitely one of the strongest contenders that you can find with an impressive design and build quality, a large 5,500mAh battery, a powerful processor for your segment and a clean advertising software experience.

Note 50x is perhaps the best option you can buy at this price if you can do with HD+ display and sub -speaker.
