HP OmnibuC X Flip: Design and Building

HP always has a habit to craft a laptop that looks smooth and premium regardless of the price. It is not easy to show the 2 -in -1 device in this polish, but HP managed it with Omnibuq Ultra Flip last year and repeated the feat with the Omnibuc X Flip this year. The device is manufactured around a strong aluminum frame. A thin profile and pride of about 1.38 kg, enough light to move around without fatigue.

The atmospheric blue color, paired with a sandblasted anodized finish, gives a sophisticated look to the laptop, although it attracts the fingerprint. This minimum aestheticist is sure to appeal to both creators and professionals. The 360-Digry Kaj is a highlight, allowing users to easily convert laptops into tablet mode. It can also be replaced into tent mode, making it easier for artists to sketch using a tilt pen involved without keyboard.

Despite its thin 14.6 mm-rop chassis, the port selection is impressive. You will get two USB ports, one HDMI port, one headphone jack, a Thunderbolt 4 port and an additional type-C port for versatile connectivity. HP has also incorporated recycled materials and acquires EPET Gold Certification for this device, which combines an environmentally friendly edge that is a welcome touch in today’s market.

Hp omnibook x flip: performance and touch experience

You open the laptop and immediately are presented with a grand 14-inch OLED display that attracts attention. The touch screen panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which helps the guard against scratches and adds a confident feeling of durability. Thanks to its bright finish, the stylus glides smoothly on the surface, while the coating also helps reduce smugs and fingerprints, although it does not completely eliminate them.

A remarkable defect of this bright display is that you face the reflections you encounter when using it out. However, it is rarely unique to the Omnibuq X Flip, as most of the laptops on the market today have glossy touch screen displays. As long as technology does not develop to offer a matte option without compromising the touch sensitivity or image quality, it is an agreement that we just have to live with. Thankfully, HP contains a feature that helps reduce external visibility issues: the display claims a shine of 400 nits, which can increase up to 500 notes for HDR materials, making it easy to see your screen even in bright conditions.

The 3.2K resolution on this OLED display provides truly stunning picture quality, with excellent opposite and vibrant colors that actually pop. Beyond HDR support, the display also provides high refresh rates from 48Hz to 120Hz with the display variable refresh rate (VRR) support. Whether you are watching your favorite movies or working as a creative professional, this performance is absolutely breathtaking and is a real pleasure to use.

HP Omnibuq X Flip: Keyboard, TouchPad and Audio

The keyboard of the OmniBook X Flip has some extent gapless key design, which you will find on Dell XPS 13, which I recently reviewed. To be honest, I am not a very big fan of this particular keyboard, mainly due to key layout. By coming from MacBook, this design gives a bit of introduction to the learning state. It will not take a long time to use it, but it will require some adjustments for people familiar with the specific experience of the MacBook keyboard.

I have no complaints about the touchpad. It is large, responsible, and satisfactorily clicking buttons. Although I expected to find a haptic touchpad-as I reviewed many Windows laptops that offer this feature-I really delight with a well-executed, touch click touchpad instead of a subjugation. The touch response is accurate and confident, making navigation smooth and pleasant.

For the audio, the Omnibook X Flip is equipped with dual bottom-firing speakers. These provide sounds that are both loud and clear, providing a solid hearing experience for everything from video calls to casual music playback. While audiofiles may still prefer external speakers or headphones, most users will get more than enough inherent audio for daily use.

HP OmnibuC X Flip: Performance

Under the hood, the OmnibuC X Flip is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 256 V and 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM. This combination ensures everyday performance for tasks such as web browsing, multitasking and video editing. 512GB Nvme storage is quite fast, with quick app load and boot over time, and it is also a user-practice, a feature that is getting rare in ultraPortable laptops.

I ran some benchmarks and scored decent results, scoring about 7,000 points in PCmark 10 and more than 9,000 points in Cinebench R23. The laptop is not designed for gaming, but it can easily handle the AAA title from 2013 (like GTA 5). Resolution with video editing 1080p clips on Davinci is also a simple task for this device.

Regarding heating or fan noise, the laptop went quietly during most of my use. Only once I heard that fan during the benchmark or while playing games, and even then, it was a gentle passion rather than an intrusion noise.

HP Omnibuq X Flip: Camera and AI

Poly Camera Pro webcam offers high quality videos with AI Enhancements such as background blur and auto-frameing, features that have become necessary for distant work and virtual meetings. A physical privacy shutter adds an additional layer of safety, which gives you peace of mind.

AI’s characteristics expand beyond the camera. The laptop comes with HP AI partner, which uses integrated NPU on core Ultra 7 to directly process its questions on the device. There is no need to rely on cloud or internet to include AI in its creative work. These AI abilities make things easier and more secure, which helps in running the laptop smoothly.

HP OmnibuC X Flip: Battery & Charging

The 59Wh battery is sufficient to handle every task for the whole day without the need for a charge in the middle. The core Ultra 7 processor ensures consistent performance, whether laptops are plugged or run into the battery. The battery backup is solid and reliable. To charge, it comes with 65W USB Type-C charger that quickly moves the battery up.
