How powerful is Samsung Galaxy A70? At first glance…
Samsung Galaxy A70 was introduced last month. Now it has been released for the international market. The phone is expected to be made available in the market from April 26. It is believed that India is one of the initial markets. In the recently held Samsung Galaxy A80 launch event, we got a chance to spend time with the Galaxy A70. How did we like this phone at first glance? Let’s know…
While the Samsung Galaxy A80 does not seem to be a part of the company’s Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A70 looks very similar to the Galaxy A series phones. For example, the Galaxy A50. The phone comes with a waterdrop notch and a 6.7-inch full-HD + (1080×2400 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The aspect ratio of the screen is 20: 9.
In the Galaxy A70, Samsung has used a “3D Glasstic” design. It appears that the back of the phone is made of glass. But it is actually made of plastic. This makes the phone look good from a distance. But in the hand, it does not feel as premium as the Galaxy A80 with a glass back panel. Despite this, the design is very sleek. And due to the plastic body, the weight of the phone is less.
Like other Samsung smartphones, the screen of Galaxy A70 is vibrant and punchy. It is equipped with vivid colors. The company has provided optical in-display fingerprint sensor in this phone. Apart from this, the phone also supports face unlock.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 processor has been used in Galaxy A70. This processor is a part of Vivo V15 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro (Review). Apart from this, Galaxy A70 handset comes with 6 GB / 8 GB RAM and 128 GB inbuilt storage. After using the phone for some time, we would say that there is no complaint with the performance of the phone. There is microSD card support to increase storage.
The most important feature of Samsung Galaxy A70 is the triple rear camera setup. On the rear side there is a 32 megapixel primary sensor, its aperture is F / 1.7, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide sensor, its aperture is F / 2.2. The third sensor is 5 megapixels, its aperture is F / 2.2. A 32 megapixel front camera has been provided for selfie and video calling, whose aperture is F / 2.0. We did not get a chance to evaluate the performance of the phone’s camera during hands-on. But during the review we will evaluate every aspect of the camera of this Samsung phone.
The Galaxy A70 is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that comes with 25W super-fast charging. The battery capacity suggests that it will easily last you a full day. But we will give our final verdict on this in the review.
Samsung Galaxy A70 has dual SIM support. Equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack, this smartphone has a USB Type-C port. It will be sold in coral, blue, black and white colors. However, it is not clear which color variants will be launched in India.
Talking about the software, Galaxy A70 has One UI based on Android 9 Pie like other handsets of Galaxy A series. The software is very smooth.
We will soon come up with a detailed review of the Samsung Galaxy A70.
