How powerful is OnePlus 7? At first glance…

There’s no doubt that the OnePlus 7 Pro was the cynosure of all eyes at the company’s event on Tuesday, but we think the OnePlus 7 is also a smartphone worth getting excited about as it comes at an attractive price. The Gadgets 360 team was present at the launch event in Bengaluru where the company took the most time to reveal the OnePlus 7 Pro and the new Bullets Wireless 2 earphones, and then the OnePlus 7 was unveiled at the end.

The OnePlus 7 is not very exciting compared to the OnePlus 7 Pro, but one thing that grabs everyone’s attention is its starting price. At just Rs 32,999, the OnePlus 7 uses the same processor as the OnePlus 7 Pro, i.e. the Snapdragon 855 chipset. For many, this will be reason enough to buy it. We have spent some time with the Mirror Grey and Red colour variants during the launch event, let us now give you a detailed look at them.

OnePlus looks similar to OnePlus 6T. The grill given for the earpiece in OnePlus 7 is wider, apart from this it is a bit difficult to tell the difference between the two phones. OnePlus is a very light phone, at first it seemed that it was light only to us because recently we had used a slightly heavier OnePlus 7 Pro in comparison to it.

However, if you look at its specifications, you will find that OnePlus 7 is a slightly lighter smartphone than OnePlus 6T. Both the color variants are glossy, due to which fingerprints are easily visible. If you use the phone without a case or cover, then fingerprints will easily appear on the phone.

The OnePlus 7 comes in two colour variants but we think the red variant is more attractive. Some of the most important features of the OnePlus 7 Pro have also been carried over to the affordable OnePlus 7 such as UFS 3.0 flash storage, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and an upgraded in-display fingerprint sensor.

We were not able to test its speakers at the venue during the launch event, so we will be able to give you detailed information about them only after we get the review unit. There will be a slight change in the secondary camera compared to OnePlus 6T. Let us remind you that in OnePlus 6T, the company had given a 20 megapixel depth sensor, but in OnePlus 7 you will get a 5 megapixel depth sensor. It will be interesting to see how this affects the picture when taking a picture in portrait mode.

OnePlus

The display of OnePlus 7 is similar to that of OnePlus 6T. Its brightness and color reproduction is also good. Like OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 also runs on OxygenOS 9.5. In this, you will get in-built screen recorder and Zen mode, although it does not have Fnatic gaming mode. Like OnePlus 7 Pro, wireless charging support is also not provided in OnePlus7.

The OnePlus 7 smartphone will come with 20W fast charging support, while the company has provided 30W Warp Charge fast charging technology support in OnePlus 7 Pro. If you use OnePlus 6T, then upgrading to OnePlus 7 will not be a profitable deal for you because most of its updates are incremental.

We hope to get our review unit soon. After testing it, we will provide you detailed information about its performance, battery life, display, build quality and other things in the OnePlus 7 review.
