Coldplay Frontman Chris Martin and his girlfriend, Hollywood actress Dakota Johnson recently made a spiritual stop in India as they attended the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayas. A viral video on social media shows the couple immersing themselves in holy water, which participates in a traditional dip.
In the video, Chris Martin can be seen wearing a black shorts, while Dakota Johnson opted for a kurta and trousers. In a moment, Chris was seen smiling with a folded hands and was later caught praying with closed eyes.

The pair was seen in Prayagraj on 27 January, wearing saffron -colored dress as they made their way through the pilgrimage site. His visit to India began on 16 January 2025, when he arrived for the Indian leg of his music tour. The band performed in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, in which his last show took place on Republic Day at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. To celebrate the occasion, Chris Martin paid a tribute to India with a intimate rendering of patriotic songs “Vande Mataram” and “Maa Tujhe Salaam”. Concluding the concert, he expressed his praise for the country by “saluting” Mother India “for the country, while wishing Republic Day to the audience.

A few days before his Maha Kumbh Yatra, Chris and Dakota were seen demanding divine blessings at the famous Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. She was accompanied by Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre and Gayatri Joshi. Dakota Johnson, known for his role in the Fifty Shades of Gray, was seen covering his head with a saffron veil as he attended rituals.

The couple visited the historic Sri Babulnath Temple in Mumbai and carried forward their spiritual journey. While Dakota looked elegant in a printed cotton suit, wrapped on her head with a dupatta, Chris chose a pastel blue kurta and accessed with a sacred Rudraksha garland. A unique moment was captured when Dakota whispered in Nandi’s ear, a practice that was considered to make desires true.
