Fans are happy for their version of the song and demanding that it be included in the film.
In an interview with The Hindu, the singer discussed what this performance for him and his struggles with the film and music industry since 2018, when he nominated popular lyricist Vairamuthu and many others as part of the #MeToo movement.
AR Rahman has composed the music of the film. The thugs directed by Mani Ratnam include Kamal Haasan, Silambarson TR and Trisha Krishnan, all present in the event where Chinmai performed.
