Babil Khan, in his career less than three years, trains the media pleasant. As yet. The 26 -year -old talk in a quick colleague exploded with a calm philosophical muscles. Like his late Father Irfan, he makes a delightful interviewer, open to deitors and fifty. He is studying Physics TaoHe tells me, “Human spirituality is a book about how physics of materialism”, and has recently started to see peaky blinders“I won’t talk about video-game,” he vows at a point; Ten minutes later, we are discussing fantastic and beauty Red dead redemption 2.

Babil’s latest film, Log outBiswati is a digital-edge thriller directed by the government. Babil plays the role of a shut-in, fame-in-fame, an impressive person who gets trapped in a bad dream. “The film checks what our authentic self -sacrifice is for external verification,” they say. In an interview with HinduBabil talked about the impact of technology in his life, auditions for roles, and his favorite scenes from Irrfan’s films …

You have more than 1 million followers on Instagram. Like your character in ‘logout’, do you identify as digital origin?

no way. When my younger brother (Ayan) and I were growing up, our parents took a conscious decision to keep us away from the technological development around them. I got my first smart phone when I was 21 years old. I practically grew in a forest (laughing). Still, my scraction on social media is almost negligible (8 minutes, reads its Instagram State). We always consider social media to be something good or bad when it is actually about finding a balance. Our generation is facing a numbness due to the burden of information and our desire, our wish, our desire to love. In a capitalist world, all this is business and you have to sell. This is seen in this film.

You made their debut in Anwita Dutt’s ‘Kala’ in 2022. We also saw you in ‘Friday Night Plan’ and ‘Railways Main’. What is your own assessment of your career so far?

I honestly have not done enough work to feel confident to judge my work. Like, I can’t see myself so soon. I am very afraid to watch my movies. I remember after finishing Log outI sent a message to Amit Sir (Director) that I could do much better. I told him to forgive me. He replied to me by calling me crazy and said that I should only watch the film, but I cannot. Perhaps in five more years, my work will have an opinion. Currently I am trying to be honest as honest as I am with each performance. It is like a video game – you have to level each day.

What do you consult from the time of doubt and confusion?

Apart from my mother, Sutpa Sikdar, who always lives there, has only one person, which I turn to my acting coach Rachit Singh. He himself is an unprecedented actor. He taught me everything about his craft. He also showed me how to meditate and follow my intestine. Currently, I do not have the luxury of choosing or installing projects. I want to go for audition. I recently gave an audition for Kiran Rao. Was very fun. I liked Kiran Ma’am to audition me, and this is a great practice, whether despite success or failure.

What was your cinema diet growing?

Very unusual. Like all children, I wanted to see Krish And sputter But my father showed me Andrei Tarcovski Stocker When I was 8 years old. I certainly did not understand anything and slept a lot of the film. He said, when I went for my film course at Westminster University in London and wrote my thesis, there were fundamental memories and printed of watching. Stocker He revived. It is quite strange that what our subconscious absorbs and retains. In my teenage, I fell in love with Iranian and Turkish cinema. There is a Kurdian war drama that has children’s specialty, Turtles can flyWho touched me a lot. It teaches you the importance of sitting with silence.

What are the most scenes of your father’s filmography?

From the top of my head, in the scene Hamnam (2006) Where they receive a phone call, who informs Tabu’s father, has passed away. There is not a single word that is spoken. He only listens. That one scene tells you more about acting than any acting course. I also have a brief turn Darjeeling Limited (2007), Which is humbled in such a sad situation. I like that. I work again Madarari (2016), which is my favorite film, and Paan Singh Tomar (2012) Very, and keep reciting dialogues with my team and I achieved (2003). The film has a great scene where he is tied to a chair. I respect it very much for copying it.

Your father died five years ago. Do you think the industry has started seeing you as a person, beyond your father’s shadow?

(I do not know about the industry but personally, I don’t think it as a shadow. It is a beautiful ray of sunlight on winter. My father’s legacy is not just about acting. I am not trying to fill his shoes, but trying to be the best version of myself. I want to be so kind, and I want to become a body of work that makes people alive for a long time.
