Apple plans to add ‘AI Doctor’ in the health app of iPhone: What can it do here and when it can be released. Mint

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is once again placing bets on Artificial Intelligence, with a plan to re -fill his health app completely and add an ‘AI doctor’ like service within it. The move aligns with the confidence of CEO Tim Cook that healthcare cupertino-based tech veteran will be the biggest contributor to mankind.
“If you zoom in the future, and you look back, and you ask questions, ‘What was Apple’s biggest contribution for mankind?” It will be about health, “Apple’s CEO said during the 2019 conversation.
Apple Whisperer Mark Gurman reported that while the company’s ambitious plan to add a non-invasive glucose monitor to the Apple Watch is still several years away, the company’s health team is trying to use AI to improve the lives of their users.
Apple’s plans for AI Doctor:
According to Bloomberg’s report, Apple’s team is working on the project mulberry, which will completely see the Apple Health app completely again, adding a health coach through the AI agent to repeat some analysis done by a real doctor.
Allegedly, Apple’s upcoming health app will collect data from all users’ devices such as iPhone, Apple Watch, Earbuds and even third-party products. The AI agent in the app will then use this data to make personal recommendations to improve the health of the user.
How far has Apple’s effort for AI coach?
Apple is allegedly training its AI agent on its employees using data from doctors, which plans to bring out external doctors. The Tim Cook -led company is also asked to open a feature near Oklaland, California, where doctors can shoot their video content for the app, and are looking for a “great doctor personality” to act as a type of host for their new health app.
While Gurman does not go into detail about this doctor personality, it can probably be an attempt to add a human angle to the app, similarly how Google and Openai have used human artists to make a voice for their chatbot.
The new health app is called a priority for Sumbul Desai, who is a doctor who runs Apple’s health team. The company’s Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Williams, is also heavy in the project.
Gurman indicated that the development of the project is “in full steam,” and the revived app can be released early as iOS 19.4. Apple’s iOS 19 will be announced on 9-13 June at the WWDC 2025 event, with a stable update for some time with the iPhone 17 in September.
Apple is due to releasing its iOS 18.4 update on 1 April (not joking for April Fool), and if the health app is expected to work on overhaul, we can see the company’s AI doctor in action at the same time next year.
Apple’s love-sage relationship with AI:
While Apple has made a big bet on Artificial Intelligence in recent times, the company has not yet seen any significant payment as rivals like Google and Samsung have continued to add new features, while its efforts have been obstructed.
Apple first unveiled its AI efforts with iOS 18 in WWDC 2024 last year. While Google and Samsung had already rolled many of their prestigious characteristics, such as Circle to Search, till then, AI in AI’s AI still met with great optimism, given the history of the company to get the history instead of quickly rolling the history.
However, Apple’s AI rollout of features, which he calls Apple Intelligence, is best. Most of the facilities declared in WWDC 2024 were not available when the iPhone 16 hit the shelves last year. These facilities have been released in stages since then.
Even Apple’s news summary feature, which was introduced with the iOS 18.3 beta update, created a stir when the BBC and many other news outlets criticized its wrong results, inspiring the company to prevent the company from showing the AI-rendered session for the news and entertainment apps.
