Apple is allegedly testing an OLED screen for its next generation iPad Mini, which marks a possible change from the current liquid retinal LCD display. According to a Weibo Post by Tipster Digital Chat Station, the cupertino-based tech giants are evaluating a small OLED panel manufactured by Samsung display. The South Korean firm is expected to start production of new displays in the second half of 2025, with an advanced iPad Mini to be launched in 2026.

A new era for iPad Mini?

If apple follows through infection, the iPad mini – mainly the smallest tablet in its lineup – will achieve a significant visual upgradation. While the iPad Pro (2024) was the first tablet of Apple with an OLED screen facility, the next recurrence of iPad mini could follow the repetition suit, although with a lower advanced panel compared to the Agranukram OLED used in the pro model.
