Do you ever want to act, but feel that you do not have what it takes? Start believing, an acting workshop by Vishal Nair in Bangalore is about removing those perceptions.

A course of six-week will begin to believe that the acting will be accessible to everyone-to re-connect with the love of performance.

A hobby converted

For Vishal Nair, acting was something he found working in the software industry. In 2007, he was looking for an acting course that when he misfits at an acting studio established by Ratan Thakor Grant in Bengaluru! Searching for T (my interest is strongly in the theater) can fit in your work program.

“Ratan established this acting studio in 2001, in the belief that anyone can do,” Vishal says. “Their purpose was to keep it language-free. MISF! T was not about learning lines and distributing them well, but about making acting inclusive. There was no fixed language and people from all areas of life came together to learn, grow and perform.

Unlike traditional BFA or MFA programs, which takes two to three years, Ratan structured the courses in such a way that learning was still deepened. “Ratan used to teach in an easy way, the course material spread for two to three months for two hours. It was later converted into a more structured weekend course, ”Vishal says, who MISF! T participated in several levels 1 and level 2 courses in T.

Soon, his interest grew to a passion from a hobby, and he was helping Ratan to advise students and conduct workshops in schools and communities.

“Ratan always encouraged me to teach. This gave me this responsibility and his legacy was continued after his death in 2021. I also felt that I should give some back to the society, and that is why we all have renewed Misaf!

Perves to go on stage

In 2022, Vishal decided to design a course to help address issues that most actors faced with their crafts. He called it level 2.1, which later started believing.

“There are two levels to believe in the beginning. While the level is about the fun of an acting, where you learn the foundation, the level focuses on two advanced acting techniques. ,

The upcoming workshop is a level one and the participant who completed the workshop, MISF! Tin a part of the T community, Vishal says. “The characteristic of this community is its vibrancy. This is a family of craft lovers, inspired by the heritage of Ratan Thakor Grant. ,

The founder of a startup in the city, Undesp Yeddy, who was starting a Start to Laver One Batch in 2024, says the session more than its acting skills. “The workshop taught me acting, and acting taught me sympathy. Not fakes where you copy, but the real type where you see beauty in people. Now, I am less afraid of being foolish and more vigilant to others. ,

“Even at work, I create better products because I now sympathize with users instead of forcing my ideas on them. Most importantly, I have become less apprehensive towards people and learn to enjoy the company of others. ,

The next batch and Triber of the beginning to start on 22 March will be held in Koramangla. Call 77382 76736 to register.
