Bollywood actor Amrita Arora Badi on Saturday testified before a magistrate court in the ongoing case against Saif Ali Khan, who was accused of assaulting NRI businessman Iqbal Sharma in the five -star hotel in 2012.

Arora, who was having food with Khan on the night of the incident, said that Sharma entered his personal enclosure and aggressively ordered him to “keep quiet and remain silent”. He said that Khan immediately stood up and apologized, but Sharma went angry.

Shortly after, the Khan went to the washroom, and in a few moments, the voices raised. Arora testified that Sharma re -entered the attachment and hit Khan, inspiring the group to intervene. He also alleged that Sharma instigated and threatened abuses.

The case is on February 22, 2012, when Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora and friends, were having dinner at a Upskale South Mumbai restaurant. Sharma, sitting nearby, allegedly objected to his loud conversation, which led to a dispute. Sharma later claimed that Khan punched him, fractured his nose, and also alleged that Khan and his friends attacked his father -in -law Raman Patel.

Khan denied the allegations, stating that Sharma used derogatory language towards women in the group, causing a conflict. Along with Khan, Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amarhi, he was arrested, but was later released on bail. They have been charged under IPC section 325 (assault).

The lawsuit has been delayed, in which major witnesses have appeared after several summons. The court issued a bail warrant against Arora and her sister, Malaika Arora, for the previous absence. The matter continues.
