Meanwhile, Chairman Indian Film and Television Director Association (IFTDA), Ashok Pandit had strongly opposed the casting of Fawad. He had said, “It is a matter of insensitivity to our national interests. This decision reflects a disregard for the severity of the situation. Some individuals believe that they are above such cases, as if these issues do not affect them. There are cruel attacks against our soldiers, innocent citizens or our country.”
‘Abir Gulal’ is set to release in theaters on 9 May.
