Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 captured the box office with a record-breaking run last December. Now, the blockbuster franchise, which is considered a trilogy, is gearing up for its next adrenaline-fuel chapter. Highly anticipated Pushpa 3 – The rampage for release worldwide in 2028 has been temporarily slate for release worldwide in 2028, encouraging fans by the film’s makers on Sunday.
The previous installment, Pushpa 2 – Niyam, which was premiered in December last year, was a major success at the global box office, securing her place for about Rs 1,750 crore and one of the largest blockbusters in India.
During a media interaction, producer Ravi Shankar revealed that the third installment would come in 2028 as the leading person Allu Arjun would have to wrap his cooperation with the first director Atley and then work on a film with Trivikram. Both projects are expected to be completed within the next two years.
Meanwhile, Pushpa will direct Sukuma 3 to the superstar Ram Charan in his next project before focusing on Pushpa 3 confirmed by Sukumar Ravi Shankar.
Film dialogue writer Srikanth Visa recently revealed in a chat that the third film would be much larger, bigger, rural and better than Pushpa 2. The film will present the audience to more characters. The producers are allegedly trying to rope in a big Bollywood star to play the role of a counterpart in the film, but are still waiting for confirmation.
Pushpa franchise began in 2021 with Pushpa -The Rise, which was more than Rs 350 crore worldwide. The film became one of the highest -grossing Indian films of the year, thus helping producers to take the story forward with sequel. Pushpa 2 stepped at the box office, achieved a record-breaking opening and became the third largest-grossing Indian film of all times.
With Pushpa 3 on the horizon, it is safe to say that expectations for the last chapter are sky-high.
