In another interview with Hollywood Reporter India, Bhansali shared how Inshallah was suddenly given shelter. He said that she was emotional and deeply influenced by the news. A week later, he called her and offered her the lead role in Gangubai Kathiawadi. First, Alia was uncertain about playing such a different character, as she prepared for a completely different role. Bhansali assured him by saying that he saw strength in it and admitted that he could bring character to life on the basis of his internal belief and personality.
Alia was also asked about the status of her long road-journey film. Zee le zaraaWho is with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif with him. He shared that the shooting in the film is still not confirmed at this time.
