How powerful is Redmi Go? At first glance

Xiaomi competes with other companies in the budget segment. Xiaomi launched its latest phone Redmi Go in India on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. The price of Redmi Go in India is Rs 4,499, this phone comes with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition). The first sale of Redmi Go was held today on e-commerce website Flipkart and Mi.com as well as Mi Home Store. The new Redmi Go phone is quite compact in this price range and surprisingly, despite having a plastic body, it is quite sturdy. The dimensions of the phone are 140.4×70.1×8.35 mm. Redmi Go fits easily in the hand and the grip of the phone is also quite good. The phone has curved edges and weighs 137 grams.

The Redmi Go phone has a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The display looks vibrant indoors but the colors are not clearly visible in daylight. The Android navigation buttons are given in the bezel at the bottom of the phone. Redmi Go does not look very modern but considering the price of the handset, it is right.

Xiaomi’s latest Redmi Go smartphone comes in blue and black colors. The blue variant comes with a glossy finish while the black variant comes with a matte texture. Due to the matte finish in the black variant, fingerprints and smudges do not appear easily. Dust and smudges easily appear on shiny plastic and glass panels.

There is a 3.5 mm audio jack and microphone hole on the top of the phone. At the bottom of the phone, there is a micro-USB port, speaker and another microphone hole. The power and volume buttons are on the right side of the phone. There are two trays on the left side of Redmi Go – a single nano SIM can be placed in the upper tray, while the second SIM and a microSD card of up to 128 GB can be placed in the lower tray.

Xiaomi claims that dual pyrolytic graphite sheets have been used under the plastic case which keeps the phone cool by reducing the heat generated from the phone. The Redmi Go phone has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage.

A 3,000 mAh battery has been provided to power the phone. Talking about the camera setup, the handset has an 8-megapixel rear camera, which has an aperture of F / 2.0. A 5-megapixel sensor has been provided on the front panel. Redmi Go runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition).
